Dress shoes are mainly worn at smart casual or formal events, and is used widely in dance, parties and other such occasions. Similar to pumps is the slingback shoe, but unlike pumps, it does not wrap all around the heel. These shoes rather has a narrow strap, which is pulled to the heel so that the rest of the heel can stay exposed. Loafers, as mentioned before in the mens section, comes with a tassel and is more masculine and flat. It comes in darker colors, and has a square toe. Mules can be very easy to wear as they are slid onto the foot and do not cover the back of the foot or heels at all. However, mules are only considered wide width dress shoes if they have a high heel.
